Fees and Refunds

Course fees and charges

Our prices include your tuition and assessment, resources for your study such as workbooks and handouts and access to learning support. You do not usually need to purchase further resources, although you will need access to a computer and the internet for most programs. We may charge you for materials, supplies, equipment and services you use during your studies. We will make you aware of all the relevant costs before you enrol in a course.

We charge $60 (inc GST) to provide you with a replacement document if you lose your Statement of Attainment, Certificate or Diploma.

Fee reductions

We reduce our fees for students who successfully apply for recognition of prior learning {25% reduction of the standard unit price} and credit transfer {75% reduction of the normal unit fee}.

We apply Smart and Skilled fees, fee concessions and exemptions to those students who enrol in eligible programs.

Payment plans

We understand that everyone’s circumstances are different, so we offer payment plans to help you manage the cost of your study. Please contact us for more information and a personalised plan.

Refunds

We will refund all or part of your course fees when:

  • we cancel a workshop or training course for any reason;
  • you withdraw before the cut-off date for withdrawal without penalty (applies only to Smart and Skilled enrolments);
  • we determine that course delivery did not meet your reasonable expectations;
  • you re-enrol to repeat a unit or module with a not-yet-competent result, and we uphold an appeal against the original assessment decision;
  • we agree that to withhold a refund would cause you unreasonable disadvantage; or
  • you overpay a fee or charge

We will not usually refund fees when you:

  • change your mind about attending the course after enrolment;
  • change employment or work hours;
  • decide it is inconvenient to travel to training;
  • move out of the area; or
  • experience redundancy or retrenchment from your employment.

Fee-for-service students forfeit a non-refundable administration fee when withdrawing enrolment less than one week before the scheduled commencement date. The non-refundable administration fee covers the costs that we incur in processing your application, registration and payment.

If you are not satisfied with our decision about your refund request, you may appeal that decision using our Complaint and Appeals Policy.

Neither this policy nor the availability of complaints and appeals processes removes your right to take action under Australian consumer protection law.
